Commenting on the government's decision to postpone voting on conversion reform, after they realized they did not have a majority, UTJ head MK Moshe Gafni expressed the hope that after the two-week postponement, the government will still find itself without a majority.
"I hope that they will not become guilty of passing this bill," Gafni said. "The attempts of this 'Erev Rav' government to dismantle Judaism will not succeed - they will not gain a Knesset majority, just as they did not today. I hope that a majority of Knesset members will vote against this bill in another two weeks."
('Erev Rav' is a term used to describe people who identify as Jews but are in fact not Jews at all, and serve as a fifth-column within the Jewish People and attempt to destroy the nation from within.)
