It appears likely that the Likud party will grant its members freedom to vote according to their conscience with regard to the "Nir Barkat law," a law which, if passed, will limit the self-funding of elected members of the public and is widely viewed as directed at Nir Barkat and his huge personal wealth.
According to journalist Dafna Liel, "There are more people in Likud who support the law than those who oppose, although many have yet to make up their minds, as they don't want to get themselves into a sticky situation with Barkat."
