MK Alex Kushnir (Yisrael Beiteinu) commented on the expected retirement of MKs Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism) and Aryeh Deri (Shas).
"I hope that Deri and Litzman's retirement symbolizes the end of the era of Hareidi activism, to be followed by a new generation of Hareidi politicians, a generation that cares about the public it is supposed to represent, a generation that cares about the public before personal interests. I know some candidates who fit the description," he added.
