Prof. Ran Balicer, head of Clalit's innovation division and head of the expert cabinet advising the Magen Israel division, referred to the Omicron strain in an interview on 103FM radio.
"Data coming in over the weekend from the UK suggest it is less likely to cause serious illness and hospitalizations at a rate 2 to 3 times less than we saw in the Delta," Balicer said.
