Yamina refered to the destruction of the buildings this morning in Homesh, and says that Yeshivat Homesh was not destroyed.
"The yeshiva in Homesh is built on young men who give their lives for Torah study and the settlement of the country," reads a statement sent by Knesset members to party activists.
"The yeshiva was not evacuated, nor were the students' dormitories. Two wooden barracks and tents set up there recently were evacuated," the MKs added, noting that in recent years, during the Netanyahu governments that voted for the 2005 disengagement, there was a unilateral withdrawal from the Jewish community in Homesh. Homesh- including the yeshiva itself during his time, was evacuated several times, by law.
"In an evacuation that took place in Homesh in 2020 during Netanyahu's tenure, Smotrich, who is now raging, then served as a minister of transportation and did not open his mouth when buildings, including a beit midrash, were demolished," reads a statement from Yamina.
