The United States has formulated a plan to impose punishments and sanctions on Iran, and if the talks in Vienna fail, the powers participating in the talks are expected to join the sanctions - this is the message conveyed by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in meetings with the Israeli leadership yesterday and Tuesday, Israel Hayom reported.

According to the report, the alternative plan includes the tightening of sanctions on the Iranian economy, including on exports and imports of oil, condemnations in the Security Council, imposition of personal sanctions on senior members of the Iranian leadership and more. The administration is expected to take punitive measures against Iran only if the nuclear talks fail, or if Iran makes particularly harsh provocation.
