According to Prof. Salman Zarka, Israel's COVID Czar, 155,000 children (between the ages of 5 and 11) have received a COVID shot so far.
"We are in the process of acquiring more vaccine doses from Pfizer," Zarka said, "and we have requested the assistance of the Defense Ministry in obtaining help from the military medical corps.
"We're now in the run-up to the New Year's festivities," he noted, "times when large numbers of people tend to gather, and we're likely to pay a high price for them. During the next two to three weeks, we have to tighten our belts; we have to enhance our healthcare systems, add to the numbers of staff working ECMO machines...
"We would like to see Green Pass restrictions applied to the public sector, and to have at leats 50 percent of people working from home," he added.
