The annual Dayanim conference is being held today in Jerusalem, chaired by the President of the Higher Beit Din, Rabbi David Lau, and with the participation of the dean of the Hebron yeshiva, member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah Rabbi David Cohen; and also the dean of Yeshivat Merkaz Harav, Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, along with dozens of rabbinical judges and rabbis from all over the country.
Speaking at the conference, Rabbi Lau said, "The outline of the proposed conversion reforms involves a great deception, and it will cause the destruction and rupture of the Jewish people and will also affect Diaspora Jewry."
