At least one case of avian influenza (H5N1) has been detected in a turkey farm in Naot Goland near the Kinneret.
The farm has around 17,000 turkeys.
The Agriculture Ministry's veterinarian services have sealed off the farm and have commenced preparatory work prior to dealing with the outbreak.
