Commenting on the meeting of the coronavirus cabinet that is to take place this evening at six o'clock, MK Eli Avidar (Yisrael Beytenu) criticized what he predicts are the government's intentions to impose harsher regulations on the general public.

"I would like to remind people that in the current state of uncertainty regarding the new variant, we should be proceeding with caution in order to cause as little damage as possible," Avidar said.

"The democratic public is opposed to this 'brutal pragmatism' that leads to actions taken at the expense of the country's future in economic, social, and mental health terms."
