MK Osama Saadi (Joint List) has rejected a statement made by MK Mansour Abbas, head of the United Arab List, suggesting that Israel is a Jewish state.
MK Yomtob Kalfon of the Yamina party had asked Abbas, "Do you really not recognize Israel as a Jewish and democratic state?"
"What Jewish state?" responded Saadi.
"If you don't recognize Israel, you cannot be a member of this house," Kalfon replied.
