Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Education Minister Shasha Biton discuss today the vaccination campaign for children.
"In the next two weeks, the task of the State of Israel, the Government, and the education system is to vaccinate the children of Israel before the start of the wave," Bennett said at the hearing. "This is a wave that is coming and it is impossible to stop it, but it is possible to delay, slow down and reduce the intensity and help the Israeli public."
On the spread of the omicron, Bennett said: "We know it is contagious in an unusual way. If in the Delta we saw a doubling every ten days, now the average is one, two or three days."
"It's not inconceivable that many of us will unfortunately be infected, but it's not a big deal because we are vaccinated."
