An Israeli citizen, a resident of Sawahera in Judea and Samaria, was arrested on suspicion of impersonating the Israel Post and pocketing tens of thousands of shekels through fake 'phishing' messages.

Tens of thousands of messages were distributed to the mobile phones of innocent citizens, which read "Your package stopped at customs, you have to pay to release it", the message was accompanied by a link that led the citizen to a fake website imitating the website of the Israel Post, where the victims had to fill out their credit card details to release a supposed package waiting for them in customs.
