The rabbinical union "Torat Ha'aretz Hatova" (The Teachings of the Good Land) eulogized the late Rabbi Eliezer Waldman who recently passed away at the age of 84.
Rabbi Yosef Artziel, secretary of the union, said: "We are pained to be mourning our friend and companion, the late Rabbi Eliezer Waldman. This is a huge loss to the people of Israel. The rabbi loved the people of Israel and was one of the greatest of Torah scholars. He was dedicated to the Land of Israel, one of the founders of the Jewish community in the City of the Patriarchs, and one of the greatest propagators of the Torah of the Land of Israel and the teachings of Rabbi Kook and his son Rabbi Zvi Yehuda in particular. May the people and the land be comforted by the building and strengthening of the Torah."
