The Ministry of Health reports that 40 new cases of the Omicron variant have been found in Israel, bringing Israel's total number of cases to 175.
113 such cases had recently returned from abroad, including from England, France, the US, and the UAE, and 31 of them were in contact with a person returning from abroad. 122 were fully vaccinated, and 53 were not vaccinated at all or had not been given a booster shot.
380 more cases are suspected, but not yet confirmed.
