Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar criticized opposition leader Netanyahu for posting a video in English in which he claimed that the government was trying to pass a law to allow search warrants to be executed without an actual court order.
"Netanyahu is posturing as the 'defender of democracy' in lie No. 111983. This law was introduced to the Knesset agenda during the Netanyahu government. His version of the law allowed a search to be conducted without senior officer approval or any record being kept of the incident and was a permanent provision in the law. Ours is a temporary measure to combat violence in Arab communities," Sa'ar tweeted.
