Police have opened an investigation following a report of an attempt to sexually assault an elderly woman, by a man, at her home in Nesher.
The investigation shows that when the elderly woman entered her house, the suspect assaulted her, entered her house and tried to sexually assault her, but the elderly woman managed to drive the suspect away from her home.
Nesher police officers who arrived at the scene began searching for the suspect, at the end of which they arrested the suspect, a resident of Kiryat Bialik, in his 20s, on suspicion of committing the act.
The police intend to request this morning to extend the suspect's detention in the Magistrate's Court in Haifa.
