Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli (Labor) welcomed the decision to reopen the investigation into cases of suspected abuse of female wardens at the Gilboa prison.
"Due to the intervention of the Minister for Internal Security, Omer Bar Lev, the investigation into these shocking allegations is being reopened," said Michaeli. "Yet again, Minister Bar Lev has shown that even after the passage of years during which people closed their eyes to what was going on, he is a focused minister who shows no fear and acts according to his truth.
"The Labor party and I am behind him," she added.
