Diaspora Affairs Minister Nachman Shay participated in an event headed by New Hope MK Sharren Haskel on the topic of the delegitimization of Israel in the world.
"Since Operation Guardian of the Walls, there has been a spike in the number of attacks on Jewish sites and Jewish communities around the world," Shay said, "along with an increase in the amount of hate of Israel disseminated over social media. Attacks on Jews are frequently portrayed as being anti-Zionist, and they include a denial of the right of Israel to defend herself. My ministry is dealing with this wave of anti-Semitism both over social media and in the community."
Shay added that, "This new type of anti-Semitism has no political color - it comes both from the right and from the left."
