Responding to the State Prosecution's decision to reopen the investigation into allegations of abuse of female wardens at the Gilboa prison, MK Itamar Ben Gvir (Religious Zionism) said that it was a belated move, and, he hoped, not too late to make a difference.
"Reopening the case is not enough in itself, and I just hope it isn't too late," he said. "The police should have conducted a proper investigation long ago, including making arrests."
Ben Gvir added that, "The investigation should be open-ended and without any dispensations made for 'celebrity' figures. The person responsible for allowing our daughters to be treated in such a manner must be made to pay for it and should be put behind bars."
