King Mohammed VI of Morocco recently launched a plan to rehabilitate hundreds of Jewish sites in the kingdom against the backdrop of the resumption of diplomatic relations with Israel, Israel Hayom reported.
According to the report, the program is expected to renovate hundreds of synagogues, cemeteries and Jewish heritage sites in several cities in Morocco. The king also decided to return the original names of some Jewish neighborhoods. Among other things, the cemetery in the city of Fez, which includes 13,000 Jewish graves, will also be renovated.
