The Minister of Health's report on smoking in Israel shows that the smoking rate amongst men was higher than in women: 25.6% compared to 14.8%.
The rate of smoking amongst Arabs was higher than the rate among Jews: 24.4% compared with 19.1%. In the general population, lower smoking rates were observed among respondents with higher education (17.4%) compared with those with middle and low education.
