Despite the resumption of nuclear talks, the Israeli political system is convinced that Iran is not facing a new agreement. This is reported by the newspaper "Israel Hayom".
A diplomatic source told the newspaper that the purpose of the talks was to prevent a special meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency - a move that could initiate proceedings against Iran in the UN Security Council. He said, "The Iranians remember that such a process has in the past led to the imposition of sanctions on them, and their whole purpose is to prevent their recurrence. By the talks they are procrastinating, but have no intention of reaching an agreement."
