A public committee was established in the Knesset regarding the salaries of MKs, headed by Professor Yuval Elbashan.
MK Eitan Ginzburg commented in the debate that the salaries of Knesset members have remained constant for many years. "Because of the corona crisis and the great unemployment in the economy, we asked to freeze the salaries of Knesset members."
