National traffic police officers in the traffic division who engaged in an initiated enforcement activity near the Amiad junction noticed a car driver driving a vehicle that was disabled by a police officer following a traffic offense he committed.

After being stopped for inspection, it became clear that the driver had never been issued a driver's license in Israel and that the vehicle had 5 passengers instead of 4.

The driver of the vehicle (25), a resident of Safed, was questioned with a warning and was eventually released on parole. The police prosecution now intends to file an indictment against him.

Traffic Division officers will continue to target enforcement against life-threatening offenses across the country in order to increase the offender’s chances of being caught and prosecuted.
