The Egyptian Minister of Endowments has announced that his ministry intends to publish a Hebrew translation of the Quran, Kan 11 News reported. The purpose of translating the Quran into foreign languages is to prevent attempts to take out of context what is written in the book, he explained.
A spokesman for the ministry clarified that the translation is not an exact one but an interpretive translation of the book.
