A bus driver who was sprayed with tear gas last night by boys in the village of Lakiya in the Negev told Channel13 News in an interview, "Three passengers got on from Lakiya without masks. I asked them to put on a mask and one of them cursed at me. I stopped the bus and told him to get off.
"He calmed down and we continued the journey. When we got to his final destination, he moved to sit next to me and then approached and sprayed me with pepper spray. One of the passengers pushed him away."
"He squirted on my back and head. At this point he went out and picked up stones to throw on the bus," the driver continued. "It was scary - I'll never tell anyone to put on masks. I will keep working because I have no choice, this is my livelihood. But I'll never do Lakiya's line again. It's scary, what if he is looking for me. They have big families there. "
