Chief Rabbi David Lau, welcomes the approval of the amendment to the Rabbinical Courts Jurisdiction Law. The amendment will give dayanim tools to assist in difficult cases of men refusing to give a divorce (Get) in the event that one of the spouses is an Israeli citizen.
The approval of the law will assist the many efforts that Israeli judges are making to resolve any case of a man refusing to give his wife a divorce according to Jewish law and provide them with additional tools to continue the sacred work against those who refuse to give a divorce (get) at any point wherever they are in the world.
