The chairman of the Association of Public Health Physicians, Prof. Hagai Levin, commented on the new strain of COVID-19.
"Omicron, a new strain of corona, is a cause for concern in Israel and around the world. The threat should be taken seriously, morbidity monitoring among returnees from abroad and within Israel should be improved by strengthening the epidemiological system and making decisions based on the data collected."
"There is no need to intimidate or repeat past mistakes, such as involving the ISA - a move that ultimately proved ineffective."
