Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz addressed the be strain of COVID-19, saying that "We have identified four cases of this strain in Israel already."
"This variant originated in Africa and according to preliminary data it can be very contagious. We observed and took into account the spread of another variant and took care of the supervision at Ben Gurion Airport."
"There is no need to get alarmed. We must remain calm - the situation is under control. We are checking this variant's resistance to vaccination."
