MK Yoav Galant (Likud) responded in an interview with Galei Tzahal to the law restricting the term of the prime minister, which passed first reading yesterday.
"Restricting the presidency is one thing and restricting a prime minister is another thing that is not practiced in any parliamentary democracy in the world. There are restrictions on presidents because they enjoy a much greater power. Restricting the prime minister's tenure does not indicate the strength of a democracy," Galant said.
