A hiker was rescued from the Makhtesh Hakatan national park by volunteers from the Arava Rescue Unit and with the help of the IDF's elite helicopter rescue unit, Unit 669.

He was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, suffering from hypothermia.
