Following the announcement by the Speaker of the Knesset of the appointment of MK Gila Gamliel (Likud) as a member of the Knesset Ethics Committee, Gamliel replied in a letter to the Speaker of the Knesset that she will waive the appointment.
"As you know, there is grave concern on the part of the opposition parties about the coalition's conduct in regard to Ethics Committee. The current Knesset is marked by dismissive conduct towards the opposition, and thus the task of supervising and controlling the activities of the government is not realistically possible," Gamliel wrote.
