Police data obtained by Israel Hayom, published this morning, show that although dozens of cases against illegal infiltrators have been opened, they are still managing to return to the streets and are suspected of committing many crimes. The information also shows that unlike an Israeli citizen, who the law enforcement agencies have the ability to follow and prevent from committing the next crime, there is no such ability against the infiltrators.

The police data was revealed in response to a request for freedom of information submitted by the "Otef Tachana Mercazit" (Central Bus Station Strip) organization, which fights illegal immigration to Israel. The data shows that a total of 7,150 criminal cases have been opened in the last 19 months for 1,531 infiltrators. According to estimates by the Population and Immigration Authority, the number of adult infiltrators in Israel is about 30,000, which means that about 5.3% of them have had a criminal case opened against them in the last 19 months.
