A large bush fire broke out last night in the Western Galilee, in the open area between Pelek and Tefen base.
Firefighters worked through the night to prevent the fire from spreading to populated areas and the nearby military base. Due to the strong winds and the spread of the fire, control of the fire was achieved six hours later. It is estimated that the fire consumed about 50 acres of natural woodland.
