Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar will bring to the government's approval the appointment of former Justice Minister Meir Sheetrit as a member of the committee to examine the candidates for the position of Attorney General of Israel.

The committee has five members, including MK Zvi Hauser as the Knesset representative, Adv. Tami Ullman as the Bar Association's representative and Professor Ron Shapira as the academy's representative.

Retired Judge Asher Grunis, former President of the Supreme Court, will chair the Professional-Public Committee to examine candidates for the position of Attorney General. Grunis was appointed to chair the committee by current President Esther Hayut and with the consent of Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar.
