Police opened an investigation about a week ago after three motorcycles caught fire on Anne Frank Street in Bat Yam.
As part of the investigation, police in the Ayalon area yesterday arrested an 18-year-old resident of Bat Yam.
The suspect's detention was extended until Friday.
