The High Court rejected the petition filed for the opening of the grave of the late Golani fighter Amit Ben Yigal, in which it was demanded that the helmet with which he was buried be removed.

The petition was filed by the defense attorney of the terrorist Nazmi Abu Bakr, who is accused of intentionally causing the soldier's death.

The soldier's father, Baruch Ben Yigal, responded to the decision: "Thank you to the court for preventing unnecessary suffering. Our feelings are mixed, it is not simple. We have been in this nightmare for a year and a half, there is something new every day."
