This morning, an IDF exercise began in a surprise format, to examine the competence and readiness of reserve forces in the Northern Command to operate and be present during a sudden incident on the Lebanese border.
During the exercise, telephone calls will be made and text messages will be sent to the reserve servicemen, some of whom will be asked to report to their units, according to the instructions given. The IDF spokesman said that the exercise was planned in advance as part of the training program for 2021 and as part of it, there will be a lively movement of security forces and vehicles in the north of the country.
