Housing Minister Zeev Elkin referred in an interview on Reshet Bet to raising the purchase tax.
"The tax is back to what it was before the Corona crisis. During the period of Kahlon, it was 8% and the number of investors dropped dramatically," Elkin said, adding that "this year about 85,000 housing units will be marketed - about 60% at a discount for young couples."
]Elkin also referred to the decision to build thousands of housing units in Judea and Samaria, despite opposition from the U.S. administration, saying: “We are going for a normal life, including in Judea and Samaria. It's part of the government's status quo. The government has not declared a moratorium. 10% of the country's citizens live there and we will continue what was before."
