The Defense Ministry's Engineering and Construction Division and the Prison Service have begun a project to strengthen the Gilboa Prison's structure, following the incident of the escape of security prisoners last month.
The project, amounting to NIS 8 million, includes strengthening and consolidating the prison infrastructure as well as concreting the cells and improving their protection.
