Former Israeli ambassador to the US Michael Oren told 103 FM that the US intention to establish a PA consulate in Jerusalem was "anti-Semitic."
"We're talking about the only place in the world where Jews are forbidden from living in certain neighborhoods. [What would happen] if someone would make such a law in New York?"
"In fact, the Americans recognized the east of the city as not part of Israeli territory, so Jews from Israel are not allowed to settle there. If you went to the website of the American consulate in the east of the city, you would see that there is no Jew in the city - there wasn't a single word in Hebrew."
