MK Ophir Sofer responded to the decision of the Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs to postpone a decision on whether or not to recognize individuals with PTSD as eligible for disability benefits.
"I am sorry that the government and the ministers rejected the important law I raised today. "Itzik Saidian's Law" is a good law that has been reviewed by lawyers, experts in the field and even officials in the Defense Ministry Rehabilitation Division. I intend to pass the law in the Knesset this Wednesday."
"I believe in the law. The Saidian family as well as other families of soldiers hope that the coalition will put the soldiers welfare above all else," he commented.
