Private electrical network in Haredi neighborhoods

Kan reports that some predominantly Hareidi neighborhoods have begun using avoiding the Israel Electric Company's network on Shabbat and Jewish holidays, using only electricity generated and stored for a network reserved exclusively for the neighborhoods in question.
