A prosecutor's statement was filed in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against Guy Shapira, who is suspected of murdering his wife Rachel Eisenstadt at their home in Ma'ale Adumim before Sukkot.
His detention was extended until Wednesday for the purpose of filing an indictment.
