In an interview with Galei Tzahal, Dr. Erez Barenboim, director general of Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, referred to the decision to close the corona ward at the hospital.
"This means that we have a solution for a small number of patients within the existing internal medicine departments. The ward that was closed can be restored to its original purpose," Barenboim said. He added: "We have cautious optimism. The numbers have not yet dropped to those in June, but infrastructure can be shifted in favor of other departments."
