The Supreme Court ordered the Attorney General to allow the opening of the grave of Yemenite baby Uziel Khoury in the Petah Tikva cemetery.
Reshet Bet reported that researchers will then examine whether the baby was actually buried at the cemetery about 70 years ago.
The ruling follows decades of speculation about a government plot to abduct Yemenite children, allowing parents of Ashkenazi descent who had lost family members in the Holocaust to raise these children as their own.
