Members of the Knesset are set to vote on a new law mandating IDF soldiers would receive half the minimum wage allotted to everyday citizens.

In 2017, soldiers' salaries were increased to a maximum of NIS 1,620 for combat duty soldiers and NIS 820 for ones doing regular service.

All coalition members, including Minister of Finance, Avigdor Liberman and Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz, are expected to vote against the law.
