The Constitution Committee discussed this morning (Thursday) the issue of adding to the Basic Laws the value of "equality" around which there is no consensus in the government.
The committee's chairman, MK Gilad Kariv, said that "everything will be done with consent. It is appropriate that the issue of equality in the Basic Laws be anchored in a broad discourse, and with the broad consent of as many parties in the political system as possible."
