Chairman of Otzma Yehudit MK Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the attempted stabbing attack this morning, Thursday, at the Chain Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem.

"In the past, we have petitioned against the police for the fact that the gates that Muslims enter do not have magnetometers, which the police removed after riots, and the High Court rejected the petition because in its view the police had sufficient other security measures.

"This morning's attack proves that there are no security measures, and the police and High Court judges have abandoned the security of the police on the ground."

"The magnetometers must be returned to all entrances of the Temple Mount today, and security and deterrence must be restored," said Ben Gvir.
